Let's say you have a two year old child. You buy it some age appropriate toys that do not have a choking hazard warning on them. You leave the child alone in a room with the toys for fifteen to twenty minutes and return to find the child has broken a toy, stuffed part of it in it's mouth, and tragically choked to death. Do you blame the manufacturing company for not having a warning? Do you go as far as to sue them? Or do you blame yourself for leaving the child unattended?
