Are we veering too far away from the truths of our founding fathers?
'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--' Wise words, written by wise men more than 200 years ago. Like the Israelites before them against all odds, they were able to defeat a much larger, better organized army, and win they're freedom. They wrote these brilliant words, reminding us that our rights are endowed by our Creator, yet our nation as a whole is turning away from that creator, so much so in fact that besides the obligatory "God Bless the troops', etc. (like when people say God Bless you to one another after sneezing, although they don't think much of God) there was not much mention of the Lord during the DNC, and in fact they seem to be real careful about bringing up faith in the Lord. They mention faith quite often, but its not at all clear about what they mean we should have 'faith' in. How much longer can we expect to prosper as a people, if we turn away from our Creator??
